abstract = "This paper presents a new Distributed Spatial Join algorithm with
Semijoin technique in a scalable peer-to-peer platform. This
technique reduces the network traffic and minimize the processing
cost. Tests have demonstrated that the response time has been
drastically reduced with the Distributed Spatial Join proposed in
this paper. RESUMO: Este trabalho apresenta um novo algoritmo de
Jun{\c{c}}{\~a}o Espacial Distribu{\'{\i}}da utilizando a
t{\'e}cnica de Semi-Jun{\c{c}}{\~a}o em uma plataforma
peer-to-peer escal{\'a}vel. Esta t{\'e}cnica reduz o
tr{\'a}fego de dados na rede e minimiza o custo de processamento.
Testes demonstraram que o tempo de resposta foi drasticamente
reduzido com a utiliza{\c{c}}{\~a}o do algoritmo de
Jun{\c{c}}{\~a}o Espacial Distribu{\'{\i}}da proposta neste
trabalho.",
